Peach Picking

On Sunday morning, we drove out to a local orchard, mostly because they advertised "pick your own raspberrie" and we all LOVE raspberries. When we arrived, however, we were told that the raspberry crop had not produced well in recent years and they had removed all of the bushes !! Oh, well, we love peaches too and they had plenty of those to pick!
All of the tree branches hung so low from the weight of all that fruit! It only took us about 5 minutes and we only picked from one tree to get two baskets full.
Bethany, Felicia and Grandma Helen out in the orchard.
Yummy ! these peaches were so good and flavorful. We each ate one while we were out in the orchard but Steve and Sam are sensitive to the peach fuzz on the skin, so they had itchy and red faces for about 30 minutes after.
There was a farmer's market at the farm as well. We checked out the produce while the peaches were weighed and purchased.
ellie stands behind one of her favoite raw veggies, green beans! She loves to take a few when we are grocery shopping and eat them right then and there!

We couldn't leave without trying these long slides, of course!

Those peaches look delicious! I hope those slides weren't that bumpy on the inside.
